Summer Reading Program

Each program is held at the Ringling Community Center at 2:00 P.M. with the library opening at 3:15 p.m. Programs are free and open to the public.
ALL children and youth are welcome but programs are geared to elementary and middle school.

  2019 Adult Space a Universe of Stories

Mad Science LogoMad Science! will kick off the fun on Thursday, June 6th with their “Walking on the Moon” Show. Travel 238,900 miles above the earth as we commemorate the 50th anniversary of humans first landing on the moon. What’s it like to travel in space? With the help of some volunteers, kids will learn what it’s like to explore space and the space technology used on earth today. See how expansive our galaxy is, and help us blast off to space!

 

 

Baby AlpacaKate Thomas will follow up with more fun Thursday, June 13th  with  some amazing animals from her families homesteading adventures ranch.  

 

 

 

Edie Stewart as Pearl Carter ScottThe Chisholm Trail Heritage Center’s  Edie Smith Stewart will bring to life the story of one of Oklahoma’s historical individuals. “Pearl” Carter Scott, who was born in Marlow, OK, took a solo flight on Sept. 12, 1929 at the age of 13. She was the youngest pilot in the United States when she took that flight.
