Every year, Oklahomans with legal questions may call the toll-free number from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and speak to an attorney at no charge. This year’s Ask A Lawyer event is Thursday, May 3. You may email questions to askalawyer@okbar.org or pregunteaunabogado@okbar.org
This year will mark the 42nd year OBA members offered free legal advice to the public. In 2017, 219 attorneys answered 1,477 phone calls and 367 emails, in both English and Spanish, across 30 different counties. Volunteers donated 475 hours in time and $71,325 in billable hours. This annual event is a unique opportunity to provide a valuable community service while promoting a positive public image of attorneys and the OBA.
