Get a library card

Residents of Jefferson County and surrounding areas may apply for a free library card. Juvenile patrons must have permission from parents/guardians.

  • Books may be checked out for two weeks. Books may be renewed for an additional two weeks. New books or in-demand books will be checked out for one week.
  • Overdue books will be fined 10 cents per day up to the cost of replacement of the item.
  • Patrons in good standing may check out books that our library does not own through Interlibrary Loan. The first three items received per patron per year are no charge; after three items we ask for postage reimbursement.

Interlibrary Loan

Materials not available in the Gleason Memorial Library can be requested on interlibrary loan. Every effort will be made to secure the material requested by the patron. You may be asked to pay the postage for the requested material.
