Germs!
The After School students resumed their weekly visits to the library with a fantastic program from Desiree.
Armed with a black light flashlight she showed them that germs can be everywhere and that keeping
hands clean and blocking coughs and sneezes can help keep germs from spreading.
Symbols of Oklahoma
Students in Ms. Timmons After School program learned about the symbols of Oklahoma during their visit to the library this week. We look forward to seeing them every week.
Ssssssnakes in a Library!
We welcomed another visit from the After School Bunch. Desiree explained some of the differences between poisonous and non-poisonous snakes. She put together a great poster to illustrate each difference as well as a fun snaky craft for them to take home.
Tornado Awareness
Ms. Timmons was kind enough to bring her after school students back to the library last week. Desiree talked about tornado season and showed them how to make a tornado in a jar and I read to them. They really are an enthusiastic and attentive group.
We Welcome The After-School Bunch!
We are so proud that Ringling Schools are offering an after school program and prouder still they chose to visit the library! I read books and poems to the crowd while Desiree made silhouettes of each child. We would like to thank Ms. Timmons for arranging for them to visit the library.
