Summer Reading Program
Pearl Carter Scott
Save Thursday, June 20th, 2PM for the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center’s Edie Smith Stewart’s portrayal of PEARL CARTER SCOTT @ the Community Center. Oklahoma has been home to some of the most courageous people on earth and Pearl was definitely one of them. In 1929, at the age of 13, she took her first solo flight and her accomplishments did not end there!
Awesome Alpacas, Gentle Goats, and More!
We had a great turnout for the animals from the Thomas homestead. Kate and her family and friends brought a baby alpaca, baby goat, chickens, and even young kittens. The animals were great and I was so proud of how well the children interacted with them. For information on the Thomas family’s homesteading adventures and the activities they offer go to fortressoffaithadventures.com
Amazing Alpacas and More from Kate Thomas.
Save Thursday, June 13th, 2PM for Kate Thomas and some of the animals she and her family raise on the homestead. The animals are bigger than we usually see so the program will be back of the Community Center but she will have tents to help with shade. There will be snacks inside the community center after the program.
