2019 Death by Chocolate is Almost Here!
Death by Chocolate, annual fundraiser for the Friends of the Gleason Memorial Library, is coming up Sunday, February 10th, 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Your choice of a chicken salad, roast beef, or ham and cheese croissant sandwich with chips, drink, and dessert for $7.00. Everyone looks forward to tasting what delectable chocolate confections are donated by the generous and talented Gleason Memorial Library supporters who give their time and expertise to make this event a success.
This year we will raffle off two Kindle Fire tablets. Tickets are $1.00 per ticket or $5.00 for 6. Tickets may be purchased at the library during regular business hours or from any of the library board members – Pam Bell, Donna Butler, Mary Grace, Frances Ann Jackson, and Lisha Scifres. One tablet is a Kindle Fire 7, the other a Kindle Fire 7 Kid’s Edition. Don’t forget the Kindle Fire tablets can be used to download ebooks, audio books, and download or stream video from many sources including the Oklahoma Virtual Library! Remember the emedia grant we received last year; we really want our patrons to be able to take advantage of this resource. Call us for your library card number and password!
Proceeds are used to provide matching funds to the Pilcrow Children’s Book Project grant, the summer reading program, and other projects.
